Alternatively, they might elect instead to write an essay, of around 1000 words, making use of the concepts illustrated in our ‘How To Think’ unit.

Grade |
Description |
80%+, ‘A’ grade |
Demonstrates excellent understanding of the material. A wide variety of points are made, and the delivery of the essay/video is accomplished and effective. |
60-79%, ‘B’ grade |
Demonstrates adequate knowledge and understanding of the material. Argument may focus excessively on a single point, but if so, that point is well communicated. Alternatively, the argument may be broader, but lacking in focus. Delivery of essay/video is satisfactory. |
40-59%, ‘C’ grade |
Demonstrates some basic knowledge and understanding of the material. Argument may be incoherent, or focus on less relevant aspects. Delivery of essay/video is disappointing, and makes the argument harder to absorb than it would otherwise be. |
