The Augment course is based around putting our students in the very best position to succeed. To do this, we believe they need three key skills:
How To Learn
How To Think
How To Persuade
Our course is designed to build and reinforce these skills. At our summer schools, students receive intense coaching in all three of these areas, culminating in a contest at the end of the course, at which they can display their new-found mastery of these areas!
Working in small groups, our instructors take students through these three pillars of our educational platform. First, they learn how to learn - from study-skills and time-management to memory palaces and spaced repetition, techniques that should translate directly into success back in their regular classrooms!
Next our staff introduce them to the critical thinking skills - the tools to understand big debates, assess arguments, and come to their own views about the world.
Finally, having equipped our students with big ideas, logical tools, and the methods to learn and retain them, we seek to prepare them for success by teaching them how to impress and convince others.
From negotiation strategies to rhetorical techniques, we want our students to graduate as the finished article - confident, persuasive and ready to impress.
The course is to be hosted at the Lotus Valley International School, one of the most prestigious schools in the country, and the ideal backdrop for the programme.
